Cheeky Hello from the Devs and Update News

Well hey! When we uploaded Cheeky Chooks to itch, we had no idea what to expect. As first time devs, waking up to videos of your game, and people chookin it up… well gee willickers it’s pretty much the most awesome feeling ever.

We are a small team of only 4 people who just really really love what we do. Cheeky in its current state is ‘what we do’ condensed into ten weeks, and was officially our first proper release.

Three or so weeks later we have a tonne of people playing our game, giving us feedback and chookin it up! We have also had people make over 6 hours worth of gameplay videos.

Seriously, as game makers this kind of thing is important in convincing us we haven’t made horrible life choices. So thank you for enabling I guess. :D

YEAH THAT’S GREAT, BUT ALSO NO ONE CARES, WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT AN UPDATE AND WHY CANT I DOWNLOAD IT ALREADY YOU HACKS?

Hey, calm down. This is a chill game about chill if somewhat cheeky chickens dear hypothetical Chooker, take a chill pill because we have some super hot chicken goodness coming your way really really soon. What’s in store eggxactly?

One of the biggest pieces of criticism we got was the lack of gameplay. Cheeky started out as more of an idle game, and it shows. We didn’t have time to get all the stuff we wanted in, like for instance.. CHOOK RACES!

Assemble a team of racers, train with them, race with them, win glory and fame with them, TAKE OVER THE WORLD AND COVER IT IN CHOOKS with them.

Chook Races will not only be a super cool way for you to interact and play with your chickens but also going to help you unlock lots of cool new stuff like…

Any rancher can buy an incubator and hatch an egg… but if you want those LEGENDARY CHOOKS kid, you’re gonna have to complete some epic feats. Legendary Chooks will be ultra unique one of a kind chooks, with unique abilities and traits!

Also… we refuse to tell you how to get them. Good luck.

Hey now! Probably within the next fortnight, hopefully sooner. We are pedaling as fast as we can. We are hoping this will release alongside our Steam and iOS versions.
